A refugee or migrant (for whatever reason) will have gone through a journey and often needs support to overcome their difficulties and get settled.
A mentor is a trusted and experienced advisor who trains and counsels newer, younger or less experienced people. They offer advice or guidance to someone, understanding when to listen and let someone work through their own difficulties.
Refugee Mentors are local people trained in mentoring skills to help refugees get settled and start their new lives.
The Mentoring School have developed a range of courses and Qualifications to help train people to work with refugee adults, families and children.
